The Buffies Baby Burgers Story

Buffies Baby Burgers is family owned and operated by three sisters Dawn, Diane and Linda Nassaney. Dawn, the youngest of the three was born in 1967 and at the age of four until now she has inherited the name Buffie because she wore pig tales and a pony tail and resembled Buffie Davis from the 1960's TV show Family Affair. The name has stuck for all these years and so when middle sister Linda informed Buffie that she and older sister Diane planned on opening a fun youthful 1960's era burger and ice cream store to bring back the memories of their childhoood growing up in Clifton, NJ Buffies reaction was "your crazy and I want nothing to do with it." So Linda keeping with her unique sense of humor did what any logical person would do as a comeback to a negative reaction. She paid her the ultimate compliment by naming the restaurant after her.

The Buffie name was the only option because Dawn was always the cutest and sweetest of all the Nassaney siblings (there's also an older brother Lou) and could always be pursuaded to do anything you wanted her to do", says Linda. Of course keeping with her nature. Dawn, aka Buffie, is now proud to have her name out there for all the world to see and donates time out of her busy schedule to work at Buffies on Wednesdays. "We have the fondest childhood memories of our father Chuck who at the time managed the Red Chimney Restaurant in Clifton, NJ coming home every Friday night with a box full of burgers, fries and ice cream. It was a treat to be able to stay up late and wait with anticipation for that delicious smell."

Both Dawn and Linda currently have full time careers managing new residential sales therefore Diane had to be pursuaded to give up her cushy career in Sales as well to operate Buffies full time. " All three of us are hands on owners and dedicate a lot of time and effort to make Buffies the best it can be in terms of quality,(burgers are made fresh and never frozen) service, and to let our customers know how much we appreciate their business during these troubled economic times. There are plans to open more locations in 2009 in nearby bustling Manhattan and look out for Buffie, she will be making her way to your local carnivals, feasts and street fairs. You can see Buffie this summer at the San Gennaro Feast on Mulberry Street, and also the Brazillian Day Parade. Come on in and see the new kid in town and see for yourself why so many so quickly are hooked on Buffies Baby Burgers.

There's no place like Buffies...
